Transformational Project for California's Central Valley

Herrero Builders, in JV partnership with McGuire and Hester, is proud to lead the design and construction of the San Joaquin County BeWell Campus—a transformative behavioral health initiative located on 18.6 acres in French Camp, California. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a regional hub for integrated mental health and substance use treatment, offering a full continuum of care from crisis stabilization to long-term recovery.

When fully completed, the campus will feature:

  • Community and Outpatient Services (76,000 sq. ft.)
  • Urgent Care Services (35,250 sq. ft., 42 beds)
  • Residential Treatment Programs (132 beds across two buildings)
  • Supportive Transitional Housing (252 beds, 150,360 sq. ft.)

With over 200,000 square feet of purpose-built space, the BeWell Campus is designed to provide compassionate, coordinated care in a healing environment. Phase 1 construction begins in Fall 2025, with the first building opening in July 2027 and full campus completion expected by 2029.
