The Tiffany Store in San Francisco's Union Square was the fine jewelry company's largest branch as of the date completion. Also known as the Qantas Building, the site required 15 phases for a 7-floor complete remodel to accommodate the new Tiffany store on the ground floor
and mezzanine.
A new exterior stone façade and high-quality interior finishes were the result of Herrero craftsmanship. Classic Tiffany elements, similar to their flagship store in New York, include characteristic small windows, cherrywood paneling and display cases, the Tiffany chandelier over the open staircase, the arched
doorway, and the massive stainless steel entrance doors, which opened in time for the fall holiday shopping season.
This renovation received the Tucker Award for Architectural Excellence from the Building Stone Institute in the category of Commercial Restoration.
