The Project Engineer role is an entry level position; you will learn construction techniques and how to work with subcontractors. You will be accountable for providing technical and administrative project support. You will also assist in administration of field office to achieve project profitability and schedule goals.
· Act as the “information hub” for the project to ensure continuity of work
· Assist Preconstruction team with setting up bid documents
· Develop office, field, and subcontractor relationships
· Participate in Weekly Sub Meetings
· Compile, copy and distribute notes in all meetings and share in a timely manner (including Owner, Architect and Contractor meeting)
· Create Matrix of Value for assigned project, follow and run VIP process (track values, define Key Performance Indicators, create and distribute surveys)
· Learn scheduling, LPS documents and the 6-week look ahead including updates for the Owners, Architect, Contractors and Sub meetings
· Collect, monitor and update Weekly Work Plan, PPC, and constraints including completing the monthly assessment of Last Planner System
· Assist with implementing Lean tools – 5S, LPS and VIP
· Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs
· Perform regular field visits for safety and view progress of the project as well as assess risk
· Take and maintain jobsite photos
· Prepare submittal register from the spec and create a submittal log which is in alignment with the schedule
· Assist with processing Submittals and RFIs
· Process and distribute Architect’s Supplemental Instructions
· Assist with the administration of the close-out process, which could include punch list, warranty collection and samples, as-built drawings and commissioning
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
